Traffic-free transport such as walking, and cycling have been a core focus of the places we create to encourage greener and healthier living. Now, following the government announcement that new homes will be required to have EV charging stations from 2022, we must also consider the practicalities of installing and operating EV charging within housing developments as an additional step towards transport decarbonisation. How can housing and transport join up thinking to create connected and sustainable places that people will aspire to live?
