Building better now, avoiding retrofit later

To ensure we are ready to meet the Future Homes Standard by 2025, new homes are expected to produce 31% lower carbon emissions from 2022. New build homes will need to be proofed with low-carbon heating systems and high levels of energy efficiency – what is being done to achieve this? What are the investment costs towards more efficient and higher quality new builds now to avoid the retrofit costs later?
