Currently 31 million people in Great Britain live in poorly insulated properties

The tool is available for property, manufacturing and installer organisations looking to support customers to improve energy efficiency. Those organisations interested in integrating the application with their services are invited to set up an initial consultation with Energy Saving Trust to discuss bespoke quotations and tailoring to their needs.

Currently, 31 million people in Great Britain live in poorly insulated properties. Research has shown that 13 million of these properties have the potential to be improved to reach the minimum recommended energy performance rating of EPC C. If this was achieved it would have a significant positive impact on the UK’s transition to net zero.

The tailored retrofit advice provided by Homewise is powered by Energy Saving Trust’s market leading property database. Once users enter their details, the tool will provide information and guidance to support customers to improve their homes’ Energy Performance Certificate rating resulting in warmer homes, lower energy bills and reduced carbon emissions.

Beyond creating a greener and warmer future, organisations that support customers with personalised advice can build brand loyalty, reach more customers and comply with legislation to support customers to save energy, all while demonstrating their commitment to net zero.

Users of Homewise receive a tailored improvement plan, a summary of suitable energy efficiency improvements, estimated costs, guidance on possible increases in their home’s EPC rating and potential energy bill savings and carbon emissions reductions. The tool’s accessibility, educational features, and practical advice contribute to a seamless and informative user experience.

With options to customise the tool to match brand and business needs, organisations can drive engagement and enhance reputation.

Inga Jirgensone, group head of business development, said:

“We’re pleased to announce the launch of our new digital-advice tool to support organisations to engage consumers with tailored retrofit advice.
“Through providing impartial, expert and trusted advice to customers, the tool is designed to positively impact energy efficiency, reduce bills, and contribute to a low carbon future.”
