The Clarnico Club on the Olympic Park in London provided a fantastic location and backdrop for the Unlock Net Zero COP26 Fringe Event last week. The park is a fantastic real-life example of sustainability and legacy in action following London 2012.
In 2021 it provided the location for a full day event focused on the practical transition to Net Zero. The day was focused on the practical reality of net zero transition in the UK alongside the major themes of COP itself – collaboration, adaptation, mitigation and finance.
As part of the ongoing legacy for the event, a short film has been produced to capture the thoughts and feedback of the event participants. Highlighting the important topics for discussion and the challenges ahead for the housing sector in the UK.
Essentially, we all need each other. No one government, no one organisation or no one technology can deliver decarbonisation. We all need to.
The event was organised by Unlock Net Zero and was delivered in partnership with Places for People, Wheatley Group and sponsored by Aico and Inside Housing.
