Announced at a ceremony held at Housing 2023 and hosted by Unlock Net Zero ambassador Kunle Barker, this category featured projects that have delivered in line with some or all of the areas highlighted within the construction playbook: net zero/environmental strategy, supply-chain decarbonisation, digital and MMC, waste and resource efficiency. The category which showcased projects and developments completed between January 2021 and March 2023 proved so popular that it was split between housing association or local authority projects and those delivered solely by the private sector.

Speaking about Energy House 2.0, the judges remarked:

"Energy House 2.0 is a truly innovative & disruptive concept that will likely be a catalyst for many retrofit and construction projects in the future."
