2023 Unlock Net Zero Live Awards Winner - Green homes upgrade of the year project - LAD2 scheme

The LAD2 Scheme delivered by the South West Net Zero Hub and West of England Combined Authority was chosen as the Green homes upgrade of the year project at the first Unlock Net Zero Live Awards.

Announced at a ceremony held at Housing 2023 and hosted by Unlock Net Zero ambassador Kunle Barker this category highlighted exemplar approaches to retrofitting existing homes with entrants showing how they have tackled the climate emergency or fuel poverty for the occupiers of these homes with evidence of how the work has minimised energy use. The category highlighted winners from landlord owned properties and individual projects. 

 

Commenting on the winning entry the judges said:

"The South West Net Zero Hub have brought together a range of partners across a complex area which enabled learning between them, leading to great outcomes for residents. We were impressed by the provision of energy saving figures showing how they are pushing towards net zero carbon emissions and appreciated the learnings being adopted into their SHDF wave 2 submission."
