This year the awards take place on Wednesday 26th June at Manchester Central

Recognising and championing progress on the journey to decarbonisation for the UK housing, built environment and property sectors and the professional services and supply chains that supports them, this year we will be presenting 26 awards on Wednesday 26th June at the awards ceremony held as part of Housing 2024.

We had an overwhelming response to the awards this year and due to the quality of entries have had to add additional categories to recognise the strong quality work that is being undertaken to drive positive climate action.

This year the awards will be presented by meteorologist and ITV presenter Laura Tobin.

Recognising the growing importance of biodiversity, we have two categories that will reward projects across housing association and community projects, as well as recognising new build development projects that accommodate biodiversity commitments.

The prestigious building or development of the year award will recognise both domestic homes and commercial designs and the climate champion of the year categories which recognises the efforts of individuals will cover people working across the public, third and private sectors.

We often talk about the power of partnerships in the delivery of low carbon solutions so we have split our collaboration category into four to recognise the positive working practices across retrofit projects, innovation and research, education and engagement and the development of new projects.

Reflecting an increase in the volume of retrofit activity we are recognising work from right across the UK through regional projects in the North and Scotland, Central and East of England and in London and the South.

Innovation will be a big part of the net zero transition and we recognise its importance with four categories, rewarding innovation in the field of funding and finance, the advancement of technology, product development and data and knowledge building activity.

Recognising the importance of landlords, we will have an award for the public sector and housing association sector, alongside one for the commercial landlord of the year.
