The Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) provides quality-assured, quantifiable environmental data on Fibo’s waterproof wall panels. As developers, contractors and housing associations pledge to build “greener”, EPDs form a key part of this commitment, used to determine the environmental performance of a building product. Based on information from a life-cycle assessment, the EPD takes into account the panel’s raw materials, transportation, manufacturing process and usage.

Speaking about the Environmental Product Declaration, Nicola Lewis, Fibo’s marketing manager, said:

“At Fibo, we are dedicated to providing long-lasting, sustainable solutions to the construction industry, as well as reducing our own impact on the environment. Providing our customers with easy access to our wall panels’ environmental data through the EPD is just one example of this commitment. As a business, we have reduced our plastic use in packaging by 50% over the last three years and recycle any wood waste into heating our building and factories.”

Available in a range of colours and aesthetic finishes, Fibo’s waterproof wall panels are manufactured from PEFC-certified birch plywood, a renewable and carbon-friendly material. Suitable for installation in bathrooms and kitchens, as well as other interior spaces, Fibo’s wall panels offer an ideal alternative to tiles, being easy to handle and install and requiring minimal maintenance, with a 25-year warranty.
